Verifying ownership
One DNS TXT record — the only setup step the platform asks for.
Why it exists
Ownership verification is what separates assessing your own systems from probing somebody else's. It unlocks the deep pass and lets an asset be monitored on a schedule.
How to do it
Open the asset and copy the record it shows you. Add it at your DNS provider, then come back and check. Propagation is usually minutes; the check can be repeated as often as you like and nothing is consumed by a failed attempt.

Keep the record
Verification is re-checked over time. Removing the record after verifying will eventually return the asset to unverified and switch the deep checks back off.
